The Snow Leopard Discus, also known as Symphysodon sp. 'Snow Leopard,' is a captivating variant of the popular discus fish species. This discus variety stands out due to its striking snow leopard-like pattern, which features a base coloration ranging from light beige to pale yellow or cream. The dark spots, resembling leopard spots, adorn its body, creating a mesmerizing contrast. These spots are irregular in shape and vary in size and density, with some individuals displaying more spots than others.

The Snow Leopard Discus grows to a size of approximately 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 centimeters) in diameter when fully mature. Like other discus fish, they require stable and well-maintained aquarium conditions. It is recommended to keep them in a species-specific tank or a community tank with compatible, non-aggressive fish species. Providing ample hiding places and spaces for exploration is important. They may exhibit breeding behaviors, such as cleaning and defending a chosen spawning site.

Maintaining specific water parameters is crucial for the health of Snow Leopard Discus. They thrive in soft, slightly acidic to neutral water conditions with a temperature range typically between 82 to 86°F (28 to 30°C). Regular water changes and consistent water quality are essential.

Snow Leopard Discus are omnivorous and benefit from a varied diet. High-quality flakes, pellets, and granules designed for discus fish can be provided. Additionally, incorporating frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia is recommended to provide necessary protein and nutrients. A diverse diet enhances their coloration and overall health.

At Texas Aqua Retail Store and Texas Aqua Breeding Farm, we provide our fish with a wide variety of high-quality foods to support their optimal growth and overall health. We highly recommend that you also offer your fish a diverse diet to ensure they receive complete and balanced nutrition for proper development. For red-colored fish, incorporating color-enhancing foods specifically formulated to boost red pigmentation will help them achieve their most vibrant and striking coloration.



REFUND AND NON-REFUND

In the unfortunate and rare even that one of your fish arrive dead or entire order arrive dead, you must take 3 clear picture and at least 20 seconds video of the fish in the original unopened bag within one hour of first attempted delivery for submit your DOA claim. After pictures/video received, we will refund the full amount of your DOA fish only if the package is delivered on time. We DO NOT REFUND THE SHIPPING CHARGE BECAUSE IT IS PAID TO CARRIERS.

We will work closely with carriers to ensure the package is safe but we cannot control their operation so please understand this policy.

WHAT IF DELAY BY CARRIER:

Please understand that UPS/Fedex do not guarantee or cover insurance for LIVE ANIMAL. In case of delay by UPS, They will only refund on shipping charge but not the cost on fish so we do not receive anything from UPS. Many customer misunderstand and think we don't lost anything which is not correct. We will help you fight back for the shipping charge and hopefully we can win the fight but please understand if the delay caused by mother nature such as storm, snow...etc. UPS has the right to deny the claim. We only help you by passing our negotiate discount account for your saving. We do not make money on your shipping. It is also cost us money for all the shipping supplies we use to ship your order.

If Delay occurs in shipment by carrier, we will refund up to half of the fish price by store credit only to support your hobby. We do not refund or responsible on shipping cost for late arrival and/or any other issue from Carriers. 

We willing to take the big loss and up to ship the replacement fish for DOA fish but customers must pay for the shipping charge. 

DOA only legal on first attempted to deliver. We will not responsible for the package if no one home to receive it or loss package due to carrier. 

Refund will be given in same payment method received.

*You must be present for delivery on the first attempt in order to receive a refund. If a package is refused or returned for any reason then this will void our guarantee.
