For all Red fish, we recommend you to feed them red color enhancer food to maintain their beautiful red color. If not, it can fading off a bit
The Red White Discus is ethereal in its beauty, and has a captivating appearance to entrance the senses. Its stunning red and white shades complement the tints of orange sheen on its surface just like a gorgeous sunset. The Red White Discus is one of the many strains of discus that through genetic mutation have produced a reproducible color variation of the Discus fish. Red White Discus aquariums should closely resemble their natural Amazonian habitat with plenty of plants and branching root or driftwood. Water parameters should be very consistent with a pH near 6.5 to 7.2, temperature between 80° to 86° Fahrenheit with low to medium water currents. Discus can thrive in a wider range of water parameters as long as the changes are not sudden and the fish has adequate time to adjust to changing parameters. Red White Discus should not be housed with aggressive or boisterous fish species or in aquariums with intense lighting or strong water currents.

The Spotted Silver Dollar is known from the Rio Oyapock and the middle and upper Amazon River basin. Here, this gregarious species is observed in large shoals in the calmer sections of rivers where there is abundant marginal and overhanging riparian vegetation. This is a timid, but peaceful, shoaling species, juveniles of which will require an aquarium at least 3-4ft long. These fast-swimming fish grow very quickly and before long will require an aquarium measuring at least 5" x 18'" x 18'". They must have company of their own kind, and 6 specimens would be considered to be the minimum number to house together. Larger groups will help to make them feel much more secure. The aquarium itself should be sited in a quiet location where it does not receive a large amount of continual foot traffic going past. These are very skittish fish that are easily startled, so they must be provided with many shady hiding spots within the aquarium and some very tight fitting coverslides to prevent them from accidentally jumping out

SulfaPlex™ is an effective and safe treatment for many bacterial, fungal and protozoan infestations in the aquarium. While it can be used in both freshwater and saltwater, it is particularly effective against the common bacterial and fungal infections of freshwater fish. It is also among the gentler antibiotics, and great for treating fish that are already stressed. It is easily removed with carbon and does not impair nitrification.
Active ingredients: sulfathiazole (69%) Inactive ingredients: excipients (31%)
Dosing in Water
Remove all invertebrates - these are extremely sensitive to medication. Turn off UV filters, ozone filters, and remove chemical filtration . Use 2-3 measures (included) per every every 40 L (10 US gallons). Repeat this dose every 72 hours for a maximum of 3 weeks.
Dosing in Food
SulfaPlex™ is most effective when used in the water, but it can also be added to the food. Feed the medicated food mix (recipe below) every day until the infection clears or up to 3 weeks.
- 1 scoop SulfaPlex™
- 1 scoop Forcus
- 1 tbsp food (preferably pellets or frozen food)
- A few drops of water if using a dry food
To enhance palatability use with Garlic guard
After Treating
When the treatment period is over, SulfaPlex™ can easily be removed using activated filter carbon. It does not linger in the substrate or filter media of the tank.
The Super Panthera Discus exhibits a combination of colors and patterns reminiscent of the majestic big cats it is named after. Its base coloration can vary, typically ranging from shades of beige to golden or amber hues. The body is adorned with bold and distinctive black or dark brown markings that create a striking pattern. These markings can take various forms, such as horizontal stripes, spots, or even rosettes, resembling the patterns found on the coats of panthers or other large feline species. Like other discus fish, the Panthera Discus is relatively large. When fully mature, it can reach a diameter of around 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 centimeters). However, growth rates and maximum sizes can vary depending on factors such as water quality, diet, and overall care. Panthera Discus are generally peaceful and social fish. They can be kept in community aquariums with other non-aggressive fish species that share similar water parameter requirements. Providing ample hiding places, plants, and open swimming space is important to ensure their well-being. They may form small groups or pairs and display breeding behaviors under suitable conditions. Maintaining specific water parameters is crucial for the well-being of Panthera Discus. They typically prefer soft, slightly acidic to neutral water conditions. The recommended temperature range is typically between 82 to 86°F (28 to 30°C). Consistent water quality, regular water changes, and appropriate filtration are essential for their overall health and vitality. Panthera Discus are omnivorous and require a balanced diet. They can be fed high-quality flakes, pellets, and granules specifically formulated for discus fish. Supplementing their diet with frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia is recommended to provide essential protein and nutrients. Offering a varied diet enhances their coloration and promotes their overall health.
