Bottom Eaters

The L127 Mottled False Zebra Pleco is a small species native to the Orinoco and Meta rivers, suited for small to medium community aquariums. It exhibits territorial behavior toward conspecifics but remains peaceful with other species. This pleco requires a protein-rich diet and prefers ample cover for optimal well-being.

The L147 Honey Pleco is a striking elongate catfish prized by experienced aquarists for its distinctive coloration and unique behavior. This species exhibits pronounced sexual dimorphism, with males developing prominent odontodes during breeding season. They are nocturnal bottom-dwellers that require well-established tanks with plenty of driftwood, caves, and hiding spots. These plecos are primarily herbivorous and benefit from a varied diet including quality sinking pellets, vegetables, and occasional protein sources. They thrive in slightly acidic to neutral water with good filtration and moderate flow. Best kept singly or in pairs, they can reach moderate size and live 10+ years with proper care. Ideal for dedicated pleco enthusiasts seeking a less common species with interesting breeding potential.
